Summer Book #9 – The People of Paper

I finally finished this book and HOLY CRAP  it was so good! Honestly, I think this may have been the most beautifully written book I have ever read. Salvador Plascencia has this way of describing something totally mundane and making it sound magical and intriguing. I will say that the story line is a bit confusing at times, but the pieces all come together nicely at the end. Almost every page of the book is split into columns. Each character gets a column in which he or she adds his or her own perspective to the story.

I rarely purchase books because I prefer to make use of my local/university libraries. However, “The People of Paper” was entirely elusive and I had to order it. I’m so glad I did, because I am going to share it with friends and re-read it very soon.

Read this book! You will not regret it.
